Both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly are convening today, with several important proposals scheduled for discussion.
In the lower house, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Raghuji Panta, will table the ‘Tilganga University of Ophthalmology Bill, 2081’ for consideration. The Bill was earlier endorsed by the National Assembly. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is also set to present the amended ‘Constitutional Council Bill (Duty, Rights, and Work Procedure) (First Amendment)’ for further deliberation.
Meanwhile, in the National Assembly meeting scheduled for 1:15 PM, Minister Panta will respond to lawmakers’ queries related to his ministry. Additionally, Minister for Energy, Dipak Khadka, will present the ‘Water Resources Bill, 2081’, which was received from the lower house. Public Policy Committee Chair Maya Prasad Sharma will also present a proposal on the ‘Implementation Status of Delegated Legislation, 2081’, under the Tribhuvan University Act.
