Expert’s pick: Top five scrip that you could consider for your portfolio

With the market gearing up for new high as the fourth quarter draws to an end, ShareSansar approached a cross-section of market stakeholders and asked them to pick the top five scrips. With brokers, we have simply asked which scrips are demanded the most by the investors.

- Probability of growth is high

- Recent right share- hence good growth prospective

3. Sewa Bikas Bank:
- Showed good profit in Q3
- They are giving good bonus shares
- Paid-up is also high
4. RMDC:
- Compared to Sana Kissan, RMDC is growing, but undervalued
5. Surya Life Insurance:
- Paid-up increased following right share
- Better prospect than other insurance scrip such as Prime and Lumbini; but is price hovers only around Rs 500

1. CHCL:
- Profit increasing every year
- Distributing good bonus every year
- Earning is also good
2. Everest Bank:
- Profit increasing every year,
- Distributing good dividend every year
3. Nabil Bank:
- Profit increasing every year,
- Distributing good bonus every year
- Earning is also good
4. Standard Chartered:
- Profit increasing every year,
- Distributing good bonus every year
- Earning is also good
5. Global Bank:
- High growth
Investor: Uddhav Siwakoti
1. Standard Chartered:
- Capital low
- EPS good
- Share priced at only Rs 1,800 though a blue-chip company
2. Nepal Investment Bank:
- Strong company
- Still the price are not increasing
- Currently, risk are pretty low for NIBL though the return is high
3. Siddhartha Bank:
- Emerging bank
- High-profit growth
4. Sanima Hydro-power:
- This project’s value is equivalent to Chilime
- Haven’t started yet
- But once it starts it will boom
5. Asian Life Insurance:
- One of the oldest life insurance company
- Business growth wise good
- It give handsome bonus
Investor: Tulsiram Dhakal
According to him insurance companies, hydropower are at great risk. Micro-finances have also reaching saturation. Hence the best scrip in his view, considering the liquidity in the banking sector, are:
1. Siddhartha Bank
2. SBI
3. Everest Bank
4. ADBL:
- When it comes to ADBL, he says, many people do not trust institutions that run under government but he says that this bank has one of the highest income and returns.
5. Sanima Bank
Broker # 11: Malla and Malla Stock Broker Company (Parmeshwor Bhakta Malla)
1. CHCL:
- He says that the company, which have consistently delivered, has posted the highest turnover in the stock market for weeks in row.
2. Everest Bank
3. Nabil Bank
4. Himalayan Bank
5. NICA:
- He has picked some of the big banks that are faring well as he believes that the banking group will now gain momentum.

1. National Life insurance:
- Despite the book closure for the AGM, people are still interested in the scrip.
2. CHCL:
- Timely AGM
- Dividend paid yearly
- People have good faith in the management and performance of the company.
3. Global IME:
- In short period of time the bank has grown tremendously – from Global to Global IME Bank, and then as a merged entity with Commerz and Trust Bank
- People are very upbeat in this company.
4. NB Bank:
- Rescheduled AGM and the dividends to be announced soon.
- Second installment has arrived, and the new/ foreign promoters to take over after rebranding the bank.
5. Nepal Bank Limited:
- Oldest Bank
- Price is still pretty low
- Currently profits are increasing
- Asset-based company
Broker # 39: Sumeru Securities (Jeevan Prasain)
1. CHCL:
- Delivering good dividend since inception
- People have faith in it
- Future prospect extremely good
2. NIC Asia:
- Financial reports are good – one of the best by the third quarter.
- Considering its performance it is underpriced, hence the demand is rising.
3. Siddhartha Bank:
- Good quarterly reports this fiscal year.
4. Global IME:
- Bigger and better following merger with Commerz and Trust Bank
- Poised to grow further in days to come
5. NCC Bank:
- Reforming following the take-over by the central bank
- Recovering bad loan from NB Group as share row is coming to an end
- It’s scrip is really low priced

- Future looks very good considering its performance so far and the projects in the pipeline
- Efficient management
2. National Life insurance:
- Good prospect of growth in future
- Giving handsome dividend
