EU delegation pays courtesy call on PM Oli

A team of Kathmandu based EU and European Ambassadors and their representatives led by the Head of the EU delegation, RensjeTeerink, paid a joint call on Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli at his office in Singhadurbar on Thursday. Congratulating the Prime Minister on his appointment and for the promulgation of the new constitution on 20 September, the EU Ambassadors expressed the support and cooperation of their respective governments to the new government in carrying out important tasks at hand including post-earthquake reconstruction. The Ambassadors expressed their concern at the worsening supply situation in Nepal and its potential humanitarian dimension. On the occasion, PM Oli thanked the EU and other European Ambassadors for their warm congratulatory messages and expression of continued support and cooperation to Nepal from their respective institutions and governments. Meanwhile, PM Oli also received congratulatory messages from the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Russian Federation, Dimitry A. Medvedev on his election as the Prime Minister. RSS
