Despite decline in core business revenue by huge margin Reliance Finance Limited reported increment in net profit

Reliance Finance Limited (RLFL) has published the unaudited quarterly report for the third quarter of FY 2077/78. The company’s net profit stands at Rs. 8.68 Crores compared to a net profit of Rs. 5.32 crores posted in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. This is an increment of 63.10%.
The deposits have increased to Rs. 5.77 Arba while the loans have increased to Rs. 4.19 Arba.
The company posted a net interest income of Rs. 10.71 crore compared to Rs. 16.01 crore posted in the corresponding quarter of the previous year; a decline of 33.06%. The operating profit stood at Rs. 12.40 crore which was Rs. 9.34 crores last year. Despite the decline in core business revenue by 33.06%, the company reported an increment in net profit which is mainly due to increment in other operating income.
The paid-up capital of the company stands at Rs. 83.24 Crore by the end of the second quarter. The reserves of the company currently stand at Rs. 46.05 Crore.
The NPL which was previously 2.63%, currently stands at 1.88%. The company posted annualized EPS of Rs. 13.91 and net worth per share stood at Rs. 155.32. The PE Ratio stands at 21.07 times.
