Deposit Collection Spikes by Rs 20.10 Arba in First Week of Poush, Lending Up by Rs. 80 Crores
Nepal Bankers' Association (NBA) has released a thorough study on the deposit and lending trends in the country's commercial banks. This data is current as of first week of Poush, 2079. The CD ratio stands at 86.06% as of Poush 08, 2079.
In the first week of Poush month, the total amount of deposits increased by Rs. 20.10 billion (Arba), reaching Rs. 4645 billion. Deposits totaling Rs. 4524 billion being made in local currency, with the remaining Rs. 121 billion being made in foreign currency. At the start of Poush, the total deposits stood at Rs. 4625 Billion.
Compared to the previous week's report i.e Poush 1, 2079, the overall amount of lending has inclined by Rs. 80 Million, reaching Rs. 4223 billion. Lending of Rs. 4194 billion has been sent in local currency, while Rs. 29 billion has been sent in foreign currency.
