Deposit Collection Spikes by Rs 11 Arba in Third Week of Mangsir, Lending Up Rs. 1 Arba
Nepal Bankers' Association (NBA) has released a thorough study on the deposit and lending trends in the country's commercial banks. This data is current as of the third week of Mangsir, 2079. The CD ratio stands at 86.76% as of Mangsir 16, 2079.
In the third week of Mangsir month, the total amount of deposits increased by Rs. 11 billion (Arba), reaching Rs. 4573 billion. Deposits totaling Rs. 4457 billion being made in local currency, with the remaining Rs. 116 billion being made in foreign currency. In the second week of the ongoing month, this figure had risen by Rs. 4 billion from the week before that.
Compared to the previous week's report, the overall amount of lending has gone up by Rs. 1 billion, reaching Rs. 4223 billion. Lending of Rs. 4194 billion has been sent in local currency, while Rs. 29 billion has been sent in foreign currency.
