Decrease in Operating Profit and Increase In NPL Led to Reduced Net Profit of Rs. 1.15 Crores for NMB Laghubitta (NMBMF) in Q3 of FY 2079/80

NMB Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NMBMF) has published its third-quarter report for the fiscal year 2079/80 with a Net Profit of Rs. 1.15 crores, which is a reduction of 89.80 % compared to the earnings of the company until the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The personnel expenses that the company has reported until Q3 of the current fiscal year have increased slightly by a margin of 5% and amounts to Rs. 17.14 crores.
The Operating Profit of the company has decreased by a massive 90% to reach Rs. 1.61 crores up to the third quarter of the ongoing fiscal year. Similarly, the Net Interest Income (core revenue) of the microfinance company has decreased to Rs. 25.96 crores after it declined by 25.85% compared to the corresponding quarter of FY 078/79.
On the other hand, the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) of the company has more than doubled and reached 8.97 %.
The Earnings per Share (EPS) of the company has slumped to Rs. 2.34 while NMBMF has a Net worth per Share of Rs. 164.73.
The quarter-end price of the company in the third quarter of the ongoing fiscal year was Rs. 525.
