Dashain brings positivity for benchmark index but not for turnover; NEPSE gains 14 points with turnover at Rs.27 Crore

The Dashain week brings positivity in the market. NEPSE closed 14.13 points higher at 1242.43 points. A turnover of Rs 26.99 Crore was achieved from the trade of 10,16,460 units of shares through 4,530 transactions trading scrips of 158 listed companies.

NMB Bank (NMB) stood ahead in terms of turnover after shares worth Rs 2.45 cores were traded today. Janata Bank Nepal (JBNL) shares were the most traded today with the trade of 109,793 units of shares.

Sensitive Index gained 3.51 points and closed at 264.55 points while Float Index gained 1.21 points and closed at 90.46 points.

Hydropower Companies lost 0.1% or 1.31 points while Manufacturing and Products lost 4.13% or 95.75 points making them the only losing sub-indices. Hotels gained 3.09% or 55.34 points making them today’s top gaining sub-index.
