Constituent Assembly Chairperson Nembang Passes Away; President Paudel Expresses Grief

The Constituent Assembly Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the CPN-UML passed away this morning due to a heart attack. Nembang, also the former Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), died while undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) at 1:30 am today, Nembang's personal secretary, Krishna Prasad Kafle, told RSS. He was rushed to the hospital after complications.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Timilsina, and other party leaders had reached the hospital.

Nembang, who was born on 28 Falgun 2009 BS, had developed an image as an accommodating leader in Nepali politics.

President Paudel expresses grief over Nembang's demise

President Ramchandra Paudel expressed grief over the untimely demise of Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairperson Subas Nembang.

The President said he was aggrieved and shocked by the unexpected demise of Nembang.

In a tweet, President Paudel expressed his tribute to Nembang and extended deep condolences to the grief-stricken Nembang family, pro-republicans, and his party, CPN-UML.
