Congratulations!!! K.P Oli becomes 38th Prime Minister of Nepal; 338 MPs supported his bid

Mr. KP Oli, chairperson of CPN-UML, has been elected as 38th Prime Minister of Nepal. Out of 587 Member of Parliament (MP) 338 MPs voted for him. Another contender Hon. Prime Minister Mr. Shushil Koirala was only able to secure 249 votes. Congratulations!!! to Primi Minister elect Mr. Oli. In this two men race Mr. Oli was favorite to most of the MPs as well as general public. About Eighteen months ago Mr. Koirala was elected as Prime Minister after Gentlemen’s agreement between political parties. According to gentlemen’s agreement Nepali Congress would lead the government until the promulgation of constitution of Nepal. After the promulgation of constitution, the parties would support the CPN-UML to lead the government until next election. The gentlemen’s agreement was verbal so Nepali Congress breached the agreement and filed candidacy for Prime Minister.
