Company Secretary: BOD meeting of Chilime Monday; Chilime may declare dividend next week

In the past years Chilime Hydropower Company Limited always declared its dividend before Dashain Festival. Although this year Dashain Festival was a month late than other years, Chilime Hydropower is  yet to declare the dividend. ShareSansar did a follow up with the company secretary regarding the dividend for fiscal year 2071/72. Narayan Prashad Acharya, , Company Secretary of Chilime Hydropower said, “ The BoD meeting will be held on coming Monday (Mangsir 07, 2072) and the dividend will be declared.” As per other sources , the BoD meeting might be held next week but it is uncertain. It is believed that the BoD meeting has not been able to convene due to the political interference on Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). NEA holds 51% of the promoter shares of Chilime hydropower.
