Civil Service Day Being Observed with Various Programs

Civil Service Day is being observed across the country through various programs today. Although it has been 60 years since the formation of civil service in Nepal, this Day has been formally celebrated since Bhadra 22, 2073, with the introduction of the Civil Service Act by the government led by then Prime Minister Tanka Prasad Acharya. Nepal has continued to commemorate this Day on the same date every year since 2062.

Currently, there are approximately 83,000 civil servants in the country. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration is organizing various programs today to celebrate the Day. This includes a morning rally scheduled for this morning, along with the presentation of awards to some civil servants in honor of this occasion.
