City Express Finance completes its fourth consecutive day as the top loser; Market closes at 1,193.87 gaining 2.40 points

The local bourse closed today adding 2.40 points to close at 1,193.87 points. The NEPSE index that had started at 1,191.47 points gained 0.20% and ended at 1,193.87 points.

The total turnover for the day was Rs 22.002 crore which was the outcome of exchange of more than 7.66 lakh unit shares. The shares of 154 listed companies were exchanged through 3,081 transactions.

Neco Insurance Company Promoter Share (NILPO) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 4.48 crore worth of shares was exchanged. It was also ahead in terms of shares traded as more than 1.85 lakh unit shares were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Central Finance Company Limited (CFCL) earned the most today as the price of the share increased by 6 points and the LTP stood at Rs 116. Similarly, the shareholders of City Express Finance Limited (CEFL) lost 13 points to record its LTP at Rs 124.

Both the sensitive and float index ended gaining 0.48 points and 0.23 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, only Hydropower, Finance and Others sectors landed in the red zone. Non Life Insurance sector gained 32.41 points whereas Others sector lost 4.72 points.
