Citizens Bank adds an FD account opening service to its mobile banking service; can also apply for FD loans from their smartphones

Citizens Bank has added a Citizens FD account opening facility to its Citizens Smart mobile banking service.

Customers can now open FD accounts with the bank from their mobile banking service amounting to Rs 10 thousand to Rs 50 lakh. One can also apply for an FD loan for up to 90% of their deposited amount right from the smartphone. The bank has also enabled its customers to withdraw cash using its mobile banking app using a QR scan at the branches and cashless withdrawal at the ATM terminals, as per the media statement.

The bank currently has 181 branches, 3 extension counters, 97 branchless banking units, and 133 ATM outlets and is serving more than 15 lakh customers all over the nation.
