Chilime Hydropower profit declines by 2.92% to Rs 51.02 crore in Q3; Company has invested Rs 5.95 arba in associates

Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (CHCL) has published its 3rd quarter unaudited report with a slight decline in net profit by 2.92%. The profit decreased to Rs. 51.02 crores in this quarter from Rs. 52.56 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The investment in term deposits which were previously worth Rs 1.72 arba have increased by almost 19.26% to Rs 2.05 arba by the end of the third quarter and the company has invested Rs 5.95 arba in its associate's companies.
Chilime Hydropower has sold electricity worth Rs. 80.92 crores and earned finance (interest) income of Rs 10.82 crore till Q3. Interest Income declines mainly due to a decrease in the bank's interest rate.
Its reserve fund stands at Rs. 3.67 Arba with share capital at Rs 6.28 Arba.
The company sits in a fair liquidity position of 11.79 times. The acceptable ratio is 1.5 times.
Its annualized earning per share stands at Rs. 10.83. The net worth per share at Rs 158.47 and P/E ratio stood at 60.47 times.
