Chautari Laghubitta's price increased massively by 60%; Total Turnover is disappointing; weekly wrap up of NEPSE Index

Fri, Feb 22, 2019 2:36 PM on Stock Market, NEPSE News,

NEPSE index movement:

The index opened at 1117.70 points and closed at 1113.07 points with the loss of 4.63 points (0.41%).

The candlestick chart of the weekly time-period is shown below;

As shown in the chart above, this week's bearish candle was the 5th bearish candle in last five week. Further, all except this week candle's high points are the open price, that envisages the strong selling pressure in the market.

This week's candles shows no biases towards either of the buyers or sellers. As we can see that the candle with almost equal shadows on each side is formed.

Now talking implicitly, this week's upward movement is dominated by a single day's gain of around 20 points. Though, the market looks sideways this week the number of bearish candles are more than the bulls.

This week, NEPSE index hit the lowest point since December 2015, however it managed to close above it.

NEPSE Chart Analysis:

On the daily time period, a small-bodied candle has formed which was followed by large-bodied candles.

Last day, the candle has a larger shadow on the downside which expresses that the buyers have overcome the selling pressure. The other candles except Thursday's show the one-sided pressure on the market. The current bearish trend is fueled by downgrading turnover.

From the analysis of last day candle, we can expect relief to NEPSE annihilation next week.

The 5-days EMA (blue line) is below the 20-days EMA (red line) that is favoring a bearish trend. The space between them has decreased this week.
