Chautara Hospital in Sindhupalchowk Rebuilt with 61 Million Chinese Yuan, Enhancing Local Healthcare Accessibility

The reconstruction of a 39-bed Chautara Hospital in Sindhupalchowk district, with assistance from China, marks a significant milestone in providing essential healthcare services to the local populace. Following its devastation in the Gorkha Earthquake of 2015, the hospital's reconstruction at the cost of 61 million Chinese Yuan has alleviated the necessity for district residents to seek medical treatment in neighboring districts or the federal capital.
Under the stewardship of project chief Guo Waochang, the collaborative efforts of Huwae Construction Supervision Company and China Sichuan Engineer Corporation have culminated in the rebuilding of this crucial health facility. The newly reconstructed hospital boasts various essential departments, including outpatient services, a laboratory, emergency unit, nursing station, x-ray and video x-ray facilities, a vaccination center, as well as units dedicated to tuberculosis and AIDS treatment.
In addition to healthcare amenities, the revamped Chautara Hospital also features auxiliary facilities such as a police office, fire control setup, children's section, physiotherapy unit, counseling services, reception area, and dispensary. Furthermore, the installation of a 450-KV generator on the first floor ensures uninterrupted power supply, while the incorporation of medical wastewater processing equipment underscores the hospital's commitment to environmental sustainability and public health standards.
