NEPSE Index Plummets by 33.28 Points to Settle at 2,701.32 Levels ; Overall Turnover Crosses 6 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a sharp loss today, losing by 33.28 points (1.21%) to close at 2,701.32. This follows a gain of 7.88 points in the previous trading session.

 

Technical Insight: 

NEPSE saw a mild pullback as investors locked in profits from recent gains. The index is currently supported in the 2,660–2,680 range, while resistance sits at 2,750. Breaking above this level would pave the way for the index to test the next major resistance band of 2,800–2,850.

The benchmark index opened at 2716.42 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,744.89 and a low of 2,693.03 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 6.08 Arba, with 13,925,337 shares traded across 360 companies through 69,803 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.42 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.67 Kharba.


Reliance Spinning Mills Limited (RSML) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 33.86 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 3,240.00.

 

Everest Colour Limited (ECL) led the gainers' list with a 14.99%. The stock closed at Rs. 748.70.

 

Meanwhile, Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 13.38%. The last traded price of the company was Rs. 5,768.00.

 

Among sectors, the Mutual Fund registered the highest gain, up 0.15%, while Manufacturing And Processing recorded the highest loss, down by 2.32%.
