When everything is going online in Nepalese stock market, CDS and Clearing Limited has also decided to introduce Electronic Debit Instruction Slip (e-DIS) in place of the existent Debit Instruction Slip (DIS).

Spokesperson of CDSC, Mr Suresh Neupane says, ‘The e-DIS is almost complete. It will be implemented as soon as the required tests are done.”

He also said that most probably e-DIS will be implemented at the end of this month.

With the introduction of this system, the investors will not have to face any kind of hassle to physically carry the slip and visit the broker office. However, this service will only be available for the 3,16,500 Meroshare users.

Mr Neupane further said, “When the whole stock market is going online, it would not be suitable for investors to carry the slip. In also need to get upgraded.”

With online trading, investors will be able to trade without visiting the broker and the implementation of e-DIS will allow the clearing of transaction without visiting the broker. It seems that the always crowded broker offices are going to get quiet.
