The fund, now in its tenth year, has already supported several heritage preservation projects in Nepal, including the revival of Maithil women’s art in Janakpur, protection of cultural heritage in Shey Phoksundo National Park, preservation of the endangered Kusunda language, and safeguarding indigenous food heritage.
Organizations can apply for grants of up to £500,000, with applications open until 20 July 2026. According to Rustom Mody, the initiative seeks to strengthen communities by preserving cultural identity while building international collaboration and expertise in heritage protection.
