Book Closure: Last day today to clinch 51.5% dividend of Standard Chartered

Today (Thursday) is the last day for the investors to get hold of the shares of Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd as the bank is going to close the share holder record book from tomorrow for the purpose of its upcoming annual general meeting (AGM).

Investors buying shares of the Standard Chartered till today will only be entitled for the dividend of the bank for the fiscal year 2070/71.

 One of the blue chip companies, Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd has already proposed 41.5 percent cash dividend and 10 percent bonus share to its shareholders from the net profit it earned in the last fiscal year.

The bank has scheduled its 28th AGM on Mangsir 18. It has said that the further details of the AGM will be made public soon.

The first joint venture commercial bank of the country has posted an impressive profit rise of 13 percent in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year 2070/71.

Its net profit reached Rs 1.38 arba in the last fiscal year, up from Rs 1.22 arba in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year 2069/70.

The bank had distributed 50 percent dividend – 10 percent bonus share and 40 percent cash – to its shareholders in the previous fiscal year 2069/70.
