Book closure for dividend of Rs 1,020 per share of Unilever Nepal on Bhadra 19; Only 4 trading days left

Unilever Nepal Limited (UNL) has published book closure date for the purpose of its Annual General Meeting (AGM). The manufacturing company is going to endorse dividend of Rs. 1,020 per share to its shareholders. The company will be holding its AGM on Ashwin 4, 2073. As per the notice published on Nepse today, the register of its shareholders will remain close from Bhadra 19 2073  till Ashwin 4, 2073  for the purpose of its AGM which is going to be held on Ashwin 4, 2073. Only the shares registered one day ahead of trading day of the book closure date i.e. Bhadra 16, 2073 will be eligible for the dividend. Unilever is the highest dividend distributing companies in Nepal among all the listed companies and also the most expensive share in secondary market of Nepal. Earlier, the company had distributed Rs 990 per share cash dividend to its shareholders from the net profit earned in the fiscal year 2071/72. The last traded price of the company stands at Rs 33,115 as of August 24, 2016 in NEPSE. It is a subsidiary company of the Hindustan Unilever Company which owns an 80% stake in the company and rest 20% is owned by the general public of Nepal.
