Biratnagar Transport Office Collects Nearly NPR 49 Crore in Revenue for FY 2082/83
The Transport Management Service Office in Biratnagar collected a total of NPR 48.98 crore (Rs 48,98,27,187) in revenue during the fiscal year 2082/83. The earnings came from various administrative services, with vehicle taxes making up the largest portion of the overall collections.
According to Information Officer Lekh Prasad Acharya, vehicle tax was the main source of income, bringing in NPR 38.52 crore (Rs 38,52,79,482). Driver's license issuance was another major contributor, generating NPR 8.53 crore (Rs 8,53,33,475) over the year.
The remaining revenue came from various operational fees and penalties. The office collected NPR 1.14 crore (Rs 1,14,31,830) from route permits, NPR 75.51 lakh (Rs 75,51,000) from general service charges, NPR 1.28 lakh (Rs 1,28,300) from business registration, and NPR 1.03 lakh (Rs 1,03,100) from fines and confiscated funds.
