Biratlaxmi Bikas Bank earns Rs 98.65 lakh; NPL increased to 2.53 %

Biratlaxmi Bikas Bank Limited has posted net profit of Rs 98.65 lakh in the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2073/74. The net profit decreased by 24.34 % in Q1. The figure stood at Rs 1.30 crore in the previous year corresponding quarter. The development bank’s net profit declined as it has Rs 2.41 under provision for possible losses.
In the first quarter Biratlaxmi net interest income has risen to Rs 6.21 crore, up from Rs 4.55 crore in the corresponding quarter.
It also mobilized Rs 4.91 arba in deposit and Rs 3.08 arba in loan as compared to Rs 4.37 arba in deposit and Rs 2.76 arba in loan in the corresponding quarter last year.
It has paid up capital of Rs 42.35 crore with reserve of Rs 18.57 crore.
The bank’s non-performing loan (NPL) has increased to 2.53 percent, from 1.31 percent in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
Its EPS (annualized) now stands at Rs 9.27, its net worth per share is priced at Rs 143.67 and P/E ratio is at 44.52 times.
