BIMSTEC Summit concludes with signing on MoU of ‘BIMSTEC Grid Interconnection’

The fourth BIMSTEC summit has completed and along with the completion, the member countries have signed on the Memorandum of Understanding regarding the ‘BIMSTEC Grid Interconnection’.

The ministry of foreign affairs of all the member nations had signed on the MoU in the presence of the respective head of the nation.

With this agreement, the member nations can now easily buy and sell electricity among themselves. Now, the electricity produced in Nepal can find its way as far as Thailand.
