Bank of Kathmandu postpones auction amidst lockdown

Bank of Kathmandu has postponed its 3,16,156 unit promoter shares auction due to ongoing lockdown.

The previous deadline was Bhadra 08, 2 pm. However, since Kathmandu was in lockdown from Bhadra 03 to Bhadra, 10, the deadline for the auction was extended till today, i.e. Bhadra 15. 

However, since the lockdown is still effective, the auction is postponed until further notice. 

Bank of Kathmandu Limited (BOKL) had auctioned its 3,16,156 units promoter share to the existing promoters, general public, and institutions from Bhadra 1. The minimum bid rate is set at Rs 140. Similarly, the minimum bid quantity is 1000 units while there is no maximum quantity limit for application, meaning that the general public can apply for the entire 3,16,156 units. However, individual investors are required to abide by Nepal Rastra Bank's rule to not exceed the specified quantity of shares per entity.
