Bank of Kathmandu earns 16.87 crore in Q1; NPL triples to 3.57 %

Bank of Kathmandu (BOK) has posted a net profit of Rs 16.87 crore for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2072/73. The net profit increased by 1.73 % as compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
As per the unaudited financial report for the first quarter, the commercial bank has mobilized deposits of Rs 40.16 arba in Q1 increasing from Rs 34.37 arba in the corresponding quarter last year. It has extended loans of Rs 34.18 arba , increasing from Rs 28.90 arba . It has borrowings of Rs 1.08 arba.
Bank of Kathmandu’s net interest income slightly reduced to Rs 34.73 croe from Rs 34.84 crore in the first quarter of 2072/73.
BOK’s paid up capital remains at Rs 2.67 arba with reserve and surplus of Rs 1.35 arba .
The commercial bank’s NPL triples to 3.57 % as compared to the corresponding quarter of last fiscal year. The NPL stood at 3.47% in the 4th quarter of last fiscal year.
BOK’s annualized EPS now stands at Rs 25.27 , net worth per share at Rs 150.59, and P/E ratio (annualized) at 23.55 times.
