Arun Valley Hydropower reports massive increment in profitability in Q2; Look at the major highlights reported by company

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) has posted net profit growth of massive 102.04% in the second quarter (Q2) of the current FY 2077/78. The profit increased to Rs. 6.80 crores in this quarter from Rs. 3.36 crores in the corresponding quarter of previous year.

AHPC has sold electricity of worth Rs 3.04 crores and collected revenue from other sources worth Rs. 6.53 crores by the end of Q2.

The company’s operating profit increased to Rs 8.79 crore in Q2 of the current fiscal year from Rs 5.04 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Its reserve fund stands at Rs 14.43 crores with share capital at Rs 99.83 crores. The short-term borrowings of the company rose to Rs 15.22 crores by the end of the second quarter.

The company sits in a fair liquidity position of 1.61 times.

Its annualized earning per share stands at Rs 13.63, net worth per share at Rs 114.46 and P/E ratio stood at 17.16 times.
