Api Power Company receives approval to generate electricity from 8MW Upper Naugarh Gad Small Hydroelectric Project

Api Power Company Limited (API) has got approval from Department of Electricity Development to generate electricity from its 8 MW Upper Naugarh Gad Small Hydroelectric Project. It had already signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Nepal Electricity Authority for the same.
The hydropower project is the second project of the company. Prior to this, the hydropower company had built 8.5 MW Upper Naugarh Gad Small Hydroelectric Project which has been added to national broadcasting line.
Issuing a press statement, it stated that the new Upper Naugarh Gad project is being constructed in the upper part of Naugarh Gad River. It had received financial support from Nepal SBI Bank and Prabhu Bank for this project that is aimed to complete within 15-17 months. The company says that these projects will make the far-western loadshedding free,
Api Power targets to construct 40 MW Upper Chameliya as its future project, added the statement.
In addition, the company is also installing a 19.5 MW solar project as part of a NEA tender.
