APF Nepal Seizes 774 EVs on Suspicion of Customs Evasion

The Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal has seized 774 electric vehicles (EVs) that entered the country through the Korola checkpoint in Mustang on suspicion of customs evasion.

According to APF Nepal spokesperson Bishnu Prasad Bhatta, the vehicles were brought under control on Wednesday night from Jomsom in Mustang, Kusma in Parbat, and Hemja in Kaski.

Personnel deployed from the APF Nepal No. 33 Company in Mustang, the APF Nepal Company in Myagdi, the APF Nepal No. 25 Chandika Battalion in Parbat, and the APF Nepal No. 24 Kalika Battalion in Kaski carried out the operation to seize the vehicles.

Similarly, two more vehicles were also taken under control from the Pasang Lhamu Road area in Nuwakot.

Authorities have launched further investigation into the case.
