Another 20 point gain in market indicates boosted confidence; NEPSE index closes at 1173.42 points with turnover o Rs.47.68 Crore

The market today closed at 1173.42 points after it managed to gain massive 1.97% or 22.68 points. In two days of time, the market has gained more than 45 points. The turnover today stood at Rs.47.68 Crore achieved through trade of 1,645,877 units of shares traded through 7,877 transactions trading scrips of 171 listed companies in the process.

Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) posted the highest turnover today at Rs.6.24 Crore with LTP at Rs.589 per share. Nine stocks posted a turnover of Rs.1 Crore or higher. Siddhartha bank Limited (SBL) stood ahead in term of volume with trade of 136,503 units of shares. The LTP of the scrip stands at Rs.331 per share.

Today four companies hit the positive circuit, they were Global IME Laghubitta (GILB), Ridi Hydropower (RHPC), Samata Microfinance (SMATA) and Sindhu Bikas Bank (SINDU). Karnali Development Bank (KRBL) was today’s top loser as it lost 4.54% or 5 points and closed at Rs.105 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 4.13 points and closed at 255.70 points while Float Index gained 1.61 points and closed at 86.77 points.

While none of the sub-indices lost today, trading sector remained unchanged. Hotels gained the most at 3.68% or 69.48 points.
