The Airline Operators Association of Nepal (AOA) has announced that passengers who could not board their scheduled flights due to Tuesday’s disruption at Tribhuvan International Airport will receive full refunds from the respective airlines.

According to the AOA, services were suspended from 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday after Gen Z’s protest movement forced the closure of the country’s only international airport. The shutdown is expected to continue until 12 noon on Wednesday, resulting in the cancellation of numerous domestic and international flights.

The association has assured that affected passengers can claim their ticket refunds directly from the concerned airlines. It further emphasized that efforts are underway to minimize inconvenience caused by the unexpected halt in operations.
