Alongside the traditional cultural festival 'Gaijatra,' two new movies, 'Aincho Paincho' and 'Ganapati,' graced the screen on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and Janaipurnima (Rishi Tarpani). Although the original plan was to screen the new movies on Friday, they were showcased a day earlier due to the festival.
Directed by Krisha Chaulagain, the film 'Aincho Paincho' is set against a political backdrop. However, Director Chaulagain clarified that the movie isn't solely focused on politics. "Just as politics is an integral part of our daily lives, so are the characters in the movie. However, it carries a social theme. It may seem otherwise from the promotional materials," stated Director Chaulagain.
Actress Swastima Khadka, who plays a politician in the film, noted that there's a tendency to satirize politics as a profession and that the movie addresses themes related to society.
Produced under the banner of KP Films, 'Aincho Paincho' features a cast including Koshish Chhetri, Sushil Sitaula, Ramesh Budhathoki, Rajaram Poudel, Buddhi Tamang, Rabindra Jha, Sarita Giri, Vishal Pahari, and others.
The next movie, 'Ganapati,' directed by Sabin Adhikari, was also screened on the same day. Adhikari, the movie's writer, presents various situations faced by a childless couple when they are blessed with a son resembling Lord Ganesha.
The film includes performances by Mukun Bhusal, Menuka Pradhan, Rajaram Poudel, Suryamala Khanal, Jayananda Lama, Sushil Pokharel, Prakash Ghimire, Puskar Gurung, and others. Actor Bhusal remarked that the movie satirizes societal distortions and added, "It has been crafted uniquely, and while acting in it, I immersed myself in the character."
The movie boasts cinematography by Hari Bahadur Ghale, editing by Bipin Malla, and dance direction by Kabiraj Gahatraj.
