AHPC posts profit rise by 29.57% in Q1, capital advances to Rs 77.10 crore

ShareSansar, November 14:Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) has registered a satisfactory rise in net profit of 29.57 percent in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2071/72.
According to the unaudited financial report published today by the company for the first quarter, its net profit after income tax has risen to Rs 1.60 crore up from Rs 1.24 crore in the first quarter of the last fiscal year 2070/71.
AHPC made an income of Rs 2.49 crore, mainly from selling electricity to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), by the end of the first quarter, up from Rs 2.16 crore in the corresponding quarter — a rise of Rs 33 lakh over the past first quarters.
Its EPS (annualized) stands at Rs 8.34, its net worth per share at Rs 108.30 and P/E ratio stands at 46.03.
The hydropower company has capital fund of Rs. 77.10 crore and reserve fund of Rs 6.40 crore, and loan fund of Rs 7.58 lakh during the given period.
Earlier, company has pledged 10 percent bonus share to its shareholders from the profit it earns in the fiscal year 2070/71.
The projects under AHPC are Piluwakhola Hydropower Project (3MW), Ridikhola hydropower (2.4 MW), Kabeli-B1 Hydropower (25MW), Upper Piluwakhola Hydropower - (11MW), Lower Phemekhola Small Hydropower (3.5 MW) and Upper Khimtikhola Small Hydropower Project (12MW).
Among them, Piluwakhola and Ridikhola hydropower have been completed while the rest are in different stages of development.
