After 5 Days Consecutive Loss: NEPSE Ends Today's Session With 12.29 Points Gain

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a gain of 0.62%, or 12.29 points, settling at 1,984.43 points at the close of trading today, following a loss of 19.56 points in the previous session.

Opening at 1,972.92, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 1,984.46 before dipping to an intraday low of 1,953.29.

With a bustling trading environment, 310 different stocks were exchanged in 47,117 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 6,393,245, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 2.25 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 31.46 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.63 Kharba.

 

Gurkhas Finance Ltd. (GUFL) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 10.21 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 787.10.

 

Similarly, Dolti Power Company Limited (DOLTI) showed the highest gain of 9.88%, followed by NIC ASIA Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NICLBSL) with a gain of 8.47%.

 

Conversely, People's Power Limited (PPL) faced a decline, losing 7.46% to close at Rs. 608.

 

In terms of sector, Two Sector Indices concluded in negative territory, with the "Manufacturing And Processing Index" leading with a gain of 1.90%. However, the "Mutual Fund Index" witnessed a decline of 0.43%.
