Adhikhola Laghubitta (AKBSL) Proposes First-Ever Dividend, But Why is Trading Halted?

Adhikhola Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (AKBSL) has proposed a 20% dividend for the fiscal year 2077/78. This is the company's first-ever dividend.

The 142nd meeting of the board of directors held on Mangsir 26 decided to distribute the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 10 crores. 19% bonus shares worth Rs 1.9 crores and 1% cash dividend (including tax) worth Rs 10 lakhs have been proposed.

The dividend will be distributed only after approval by the central bank and endorsement by the company's upcoming AGM. Adhikhola Laghuubitta Bittiya Sanstha has signed MoU with Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha for the merger and the trading of AKBSL has been halted since Poush 3, 2076. On that day, AKBSL closed with an LTP of Rs. 465.
