5th AGM of CDS and Clearing Limited; Reports satisfactory progress in dematerialization process

CDS and Clearing Limited convened its 5th AGM on Poush 29, 2072. The financial highlight of 2071/72 was endorsed after discussion. The program highlighted on the increasing number of companies to dematerialize shares. The progress report showed that 12 companies in the FY 2069/70, 4 companies in FY 2070/71, and inF Y 2071/72,  97 companies dematerialized their shares. Altogether the number has reached to 113.Of the total companies, 122 companies have started compulsory Demat transactions. In the FY 2070/71, 11 companies registered for Depository Participatory (DP) and 34 companies registered for DP in FY 2071/72. Likewise the number reached to 48 in FY 2072/73. DP service is being spread over the country through 66 different places of 44 districts. The total figure of Demat account has reached 256 in FY 2070/71 and 40,400 in FY 2071/72 and 1, 33,989 in the current fiscal year. In the FY 2070/71 and FY 2071/72, 1, 73,906 unit shares and 4, 50, 85,314 unit shares were dematerialized respectively. The number mounted by 25.11 % .In the FY 2072/73, the figure mounted to 25 crore 69 lakh 26 thousand and 656 units shares up surging by 69.87%
