After the Ghatasthapana puja, we plant the jamara seeds. We have a very special celebration on Asthami. This year we plan to visit Shrinagar with the children for Dasain.
We use the same Dasain jamara for Laxmi puja as well. We also do a special Khukuri puja in Tihar. This was started by my great great grandfather.

We used to go to our home town of Sarlahi every year to celebrate the Dashain festival. This year I will be celebrating Dashain festival with my family at Kathmandu due to ongoing unrest in Terai. We plan to celebrate this festival in a simpler way this year.
