26,74,787 Bonus Shares of BPCL Now Listed in NEPSE

26,74,787 unit bonus shares of Butwal Power Company Limited (BPCL) are now listed in NEPSE.

The company distributed a 25% dividend for the fiscal year 2076/77: 15% cash dividend and 10% bonus shares from the paid-up capital. The same bonus shares are now listed in NEPSE.

While writing this, BPCL has an LTP of Rs. 396. The company has reported a huge decline in net profit by 83.89% in the second quarter (Q2) of the current FY 2077/78. The profit decreased to Rs. 13.83 crores in this quarter from Rs. 85.86 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

As per management, the dividend income from Himalayan Power Limited (HPL) was delayed due to a delay in AGM of HPL which resulted in the transfer of dividend to the third quarter instead of the second quarter. However, the dividend income from HPL will be impacted since the government holds a 50% stake of HPL as per agreement.
