10% IPO Share Reserved For Foreign Migrants - Budget FY 2079/80

The government has announced that it will develop legal measures to allow Non-Resident Nepalis (NRN) to invest in the secondary market of Nepal.
Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma said the agreement would be made when he presented the budget to parliament today.
Similarly, in the primary issuance of securities, a 10% share reserve would be granted for Nepalis who have gone abroad to work.
The commodity exchange market and associated infrastructure will be operational as part of the upcoming budget. Arrangements have been taken to develop the bond market by controlling institutional and government bond secondary market transactions.
Giving operating permission to private equity and venture finance will help to boost entrepreneurship and innovation.
A public offering will be made by the government.
