Zonta Club of Kathmandu has tied up with Lalitpur Metropolitan Police 100 helpline for collaboration to support the girls and women violence cases this year. In continuation of the collaboration to support the control room working on girls and women violence, the club donated 4 desktops and 2 laptops on 21 February 2021 at Lalitpur Metropolitan Police Office, Jawalakhel.

The laptops were handed over by the president of Zonta Club of Kathmandu, ZN. SeemaGolchha to the SSP Kiran Bajracharya of Lalitpur Metropolitan Police in presence of Zonta advocacy committee members and Lalitpur Metropolitan Police members.

A total of 6 computers were donated by Laxmi Bank (2 desktops), Daya Foundation (1 laptop), Jyoti Group (1 desktop), Golchha Group (1 desktop), Sanskriti School (1 laptop).

“Lalitpur Metropolitan Police helpline 100 was facing shortages of technological resources to efficiently manage the calls and help victims. The calls and complaints were manually recorded in notes and were not able to follow up the cases. With the help of additional computers, we will be able to manage the calls and track to help the citizens for their complaints at 100.” Said SSP Kiran Bajracharya.

“To continue our collaboration to support women through a helpline and help to solve the cases through counseling from the pool of our advocacy lawyer team for this partnership, we are grateful to provide these computers. We hope to support more women and empower them.” Said President, Zn. SeemaGolchha.
