NEPSE Couldn't Sustain Yesterday's Gain, Dips By 0.47% to Settle at 2,837.78 Level

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit loss today, declining by 13.45 points (0.47%) to settle at 2,837.78. This comes after a gain of 48.71 points in the previous trading session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,857,76 and reached an intraday high of 2,866.63, while the day’s low stood at 2,825.30. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 8,99 Arba, with 21,087,628 shares traded across 335 companies through 97,480 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 48.24 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 16.20 Kharba.

National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 51.32 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 310.50.

In today’s trading session, seven companies hit the positive circuit limit of 10%, including BJHL, SKHL, HFIN, PCIL, RLEL, SIPD and SKHEL.

Meanwhile, NIC Asia Balanced Fund (NICBF) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 4.17% .

Out of thirteen indices, only two sectors closed in green. Among sectors, the Manufacturing And Processing registered the highest gain, gaining 1.59%, while the Others Index the highest loss at 1.39%.
