With 0.20% Uptick, NEPSE Settles at 2,655.99 Level; Hotels And Tourism Sector Sees Highest Gain Among All Indices

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining 5.32 points (0.20% ) to settle at 2,655.99. This follows a 50.44 point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2654.29, touching an intraday high of 2,658.19, while the lowest point was 2,635.55. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 5.82 Arba, with 11,976,780 shares traded across 319 companies through 102,642 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.59 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.10 Kharba.

 

Bandipur Cablecar and Tourism Limited (BANDIPUR) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 26.99 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 792.00.

 

Jhapa Energy Limited (JHAPA) and Sagar Distillery Limited (SAGAR) led the gainer's list by 10.00% each.

 

Meanwhile, Joshi Hydropower Development Company Ltd (JOSHI) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.96%.

 

Among sectors, Hotels And Tourism Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.41%, while the Trading Index saw the highest loss at 1.33%.
