Weather Update: Partly to Generally Cloudy Conditions with Rain and Thunderstorms

Today, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division brings you the latest weather update. Throughout the country, we can expect partly to generally cloudy skies. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in various locations. Moreover, at one or two places in Lumbini Province and Sudur Pashchim Province, heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to occur.

As we move into the night, the weather conditions remain consistent. The country will continue to experience partly to generally cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain is expected in some areas of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province, as well as the terai regions. Additionally, a few places across the country may encounter heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, specifically in Koshi Province, Gandaki Province, and Sudur Pashchim Province.

Meteorological Analysis: The current weather patterns are attributed to the monsoon winds that are prevailing over the country. The Axis of Monsoon Trough is currently located to the south of its average position, influencing the weather conditions we are experiencing.
