Himalayan Bullion Company (HBC), which has been trading in pure silver for over 25 years, is set to open a new outlet at New Road Mall in Kathmandu on Sunday, Kartik 15.

According to company director Bhishma Gautam, the new outlet will allow customers to view and purchase silver bars and coins directly. Customers can also collect silver purchased through the company’s mobile app from the outlet. The expansion is part of the company’s plan to make silver purchases more accessible, with further outlets planned in other major cities.

HBC launched its mobile app, HBC App, on Ghatasthapana to simplify silver trading. Customers can check daily silver prices and purchase coins weighing 10, 20, 50, and 100 grams, as well as silver bars weighing 500 grams or more.

The company has also partnered with Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company (SALICO) to provide personal accident insurance of up to Rs. 10 lakh to app users. Coverage ranges from Rs. 1 lakh for Standard customers to Rs. 5 lakh for Golden customers and Rs. 10 lakh for Platinum customers, subject to policy terms and conditions.

Silver purchased through the app can be collected after full payment. Customers can also sell the silver back to HBC at its published repurchase price after three days.

Established in 2000, HBC offers silver bars and coins with certified purity of 99.99%, accompanied by certificates of authenticity and purchase invoices. The company says it has served more than 10,000 customers and recorded over USD 150 million in silver transactions since its establishment.
