Weather Update: Moisture-laden Winds from Bay of Bengal Bring Rainfall and Thunderstorms Across the Country

Partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected throughout the country today. Moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal are bringing the potential for light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in Koshi Province and Sudur Pashchim Province. There is also a chance of light to moderate rainfall in a few locations across the rest of the country. Moreover, heavy rainfall is possible at one or two places in Koshi Province, Lumbini Province, and Sudur Pashchim Province.
Tonight, the country will continue to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions. Moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal will continue to influence the weather, leading to the likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi Province, Madesh Province, Bagmati Province, and Gandaki Province. Other regions of the country may also witness light to moderate rainfall. Additionally, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall occurring at one or two locations in Koshi Province and Madesh Province.
The current meteorological analysis conducted by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, confirms the presence of moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal, contributing to the prevailing weather conditions.
