Today's NEPSE Session Ends With a Single Gain of 2.06 Points; Microfinance Sector Leads with 2.43% Gain

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a gain of 0.10%, or 2.06 points, settling at 1,960.81 points at the close of trading today, following a loss of 15.62 points in the previous session.

Opening at 1,959.91, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 1,970.71 before dipping to an intraday low of 1,955.16.

With a bustling trading environment, 314 stocks were exchanged in 38,214 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 5,064,038 with a total turnover of Rs. 2.14 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 31.09 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.52 Kharba.

 

Pokhara Finance Ltd. (PFL) emerged as the day's highlight with a turnover of Rs. 8.32 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 651.00.

 

Similarly, Himalayan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (HLBSL) showed the highest gain of 9.99%, followed by Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ILBS) with an increase of 8.47%.

 

Conversely, Bottlers Nepal (Terai) Limited (BNT) faced a decline, losing 6.23% to close at Rs. 13,193.70.

 

In terms of sector, the Four sector Indices concluded in positive territory, with the "Microfinance Index" leading with a gain of 2.43%. However, the "Trading Index" witnessed a decline of 1.09%.
