Skill Week 2026 Concludes with Inspiring Celebration of Talent and Innovation
Skill Week 2026, the seventh edition organized by Glocal After School, concluded with a grand closing ceremony at The Plaza Lalitpur, attended by entrepreneurs, diplomats, and over 100 young enthusiasts. The week-long event aimed to promote skill development by connecting industry, educators, and government through workshops, competitions, exhibitions, job fairs, and entertainment.
The program highlighted four skill areas: Art & Culture, Entrepreneurship, Tourism & Hospitality, and Science & Technology. Five Skill Hero Awards were presented to distinguished Nepali professionals:
1. Rishab Agrawal (Tourism & Hospitality) for his culinary entrepreneurship,
2. Kishor Kayastha (Art & Culture) for contributions in photography,
3. Anushka Shrestha (Entrepreneurship) for her luxury dessert venture,
4. Samir Phuyal (Science & Technology) for tech innovations like the Karobar app, and
5. Sonam Nembang (Apprenticeship) for excellence in IT and AI skills development.
Skill Fest 2026, held at Embark College, offered interactive stalls, workshops, and a job fair, alongside the 11th edition of CEO Unplugged, featuring panel discussions with top entrepreneurs on leadership, business, and the digital economy.
The event was powered by strategic partners, including the European Union, various embassies, Honda, WWF, and major banks, highlighting a collective commitment to bridging Nepal’s skill gaps. Skill Week 2026 successfully blended learning, inspiration, and entertainment, creating a platform for youth to explore, develop, and showcase their talents.
