Shangrila Development Bank Conducts Financial Literacy Program for Persons with Disabilities

Shangrila Development Bank Limited has successfully conducted a financial literacy program for persons with disabilities in coordination with the Nepal Federation of the Deaf in Kathmandu.

The program, held on Chaitra 8, saw participation of 40 individuals with disabilities. Trainer Vinod Narsingh Shrestha provided training on income, savings, financial security, banking transactions, digital literacy, smart money management, investment, returns, and risk.

The session was facilitated with sign language interpretation by Uma Paudel and Prakash Maharjan. At the conclusion of the program, National Federation of the Deaf Nepal President Santosh K.C. highlighted its usefulness and expressed commitment to continued collaboration with financial institutions for such training initiatives.

Shangrila Development Bank currently operates 109 branch offices and 30 ATMs nationwide, delivering services across the country while maintaining strong governance, risk management, and internal control practices.
