Senior Advocate Donates Rs 40 Lakhs to Devghatdham Ashram Instead of Wedding Feast
Senior Advocate Sushil Panta and his wife Kumuda Panta chose not to hold a lavish wedding feast for their youngest son and instead donated the funds to Galeshwor Ashram in Devghat to support spiritual, cultural, and social welfare activities. After the wedding, they handed over a Rs 40 lakh cheque to Mahamandaleshwor Swami Atmananda Giriji Maharaj. Following their philosophy, “Earn to give,” the couple has previously donated wedding expenses of their eldest son, splitting Rs 20 Lakhs for Cancer Care Foundation and Rs. 20 lakhs for Punyarjan Foundation.
Galeshwor Ashram, established by yogi Ishwarananda Brahmachari (Galeshwor Baba), provides spiritual training, cultural preservation, shelter, and meals for ascetics and the elderly, a charitable hospital, and guest facilities, supporting religious and social welfare activities. The Pantas’ donation aims to promote Sanatan Dharma, culture, and charitable works in memory of their late parents.
